After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

This workshop is aimed at JavaScript developers who want to spend less time building out the back-end of their projects and concentrate more on the front-end.

The workshop contents will walk through how to:

– get a free Kintone environment (developer license) where developers can work on their projects

– build out the database of the Kintone platform using GUI

– add data via GUI

– apply client-side JavaScript code to Kintone to visualize the database data in different formats

– use Kintone’s REST API initiator to call REST APIs from client-side JavaScript

The workshop requires attendees to have:

– basic knowledge on client-side JavaScript

– some experience using REST API (preferable, but not a must)

On the other hand, this workshop does not need attendees to have knowledge (or have any environments ready) on the following topics:

Nodejs, AWS, Azure, React, AngularJS

Workshop Details

Starting up servers and constructing databases are bothersome tasks for your project when you just want to concentrate on utilizing your JavaScript skills.

In this workshop, we will guide you through on how to set up back-end components for your projects using the GUI of the Kintone platform. We will then proceed to visualize your data stored in the Kintone databases with client-side JavaScript, and also introduce how to use Kintone’s REST API initiator to call REST APIs of other interesting projects.

Attendees will walk away with a 1-year free Kintone Developer License, with projects that they can work further on to fully utilize their JavaScript skills.

About the Speaker

Nim Grinvald is a technical evangelist at Kintone who has been coding in JavaScript for 3 years. Just as important, he has a killer hummus recipe and can make his own natto (Japanese fermented soybeans).

What is Kintone

Kintone is a cloud platform for teams with a visual application builder that enables organizations to effectively manage their data and workflows for better collaboration. On the frontend, JavaScript, CSS, and/or HTML can be added to further enhance the UI/UX of the Kintone Databases. Visit our developer website to get acquainted with the Kintone API: https://developer.kintone.io/

This meet will be hosted via Zoom and is scheduled for Thursday 06/18 at 7pm PST.
